The Strand Center for the Arts

Located in the heart of downtown Plattsburgh, local artists exhibit their work in the arts gallery and classes are offered in music, dance and fine arts. The Strand Theatre, a 1924 former vaudeville era theatre on the National Register of Historic Places, serves as a performing arts center.


Kent-Delord House Museum

The museum interprets daily life during the late 18th through the 20th centuries based on the accounts of the Delord family. Exhibits feature a story of patriotism and civic duty, philanthropy through volunteering, advocating for the mentally ill and activism through the Women’s Christian Temperance Union.


City Hall

Built in 1917 and featuring a rotunda, the building has colorful murals depicting the history of the area.


Macdonough Monument

Built in 1926 to honor Commodore Thomas Macdonough’s victory over the British September 11, 1814 in the Battle of Plattsburgh.


Samuel de Champlain Monument

Located on the downtown Saranac River Riverwalk, the monument honors Samuel de Champlain’s discovery of Lake Champlain.
