The Dowager Town House

In the early 1920’s it was not uncommon for families to make space within their own homes for aging parents the Dr Lee house was no exception. Thus we’ve named this townhome the Dowager. After the death of her respected husband the Doctor, Mrs. Lee, the matriarch of the family, was comforted by having her family close, yet still live independently.In this extensive restoration we have taken every opportunity to bring this 1920’s living space back to its former grace. All of the Southern Yellow Pine doors and woodwork has been lovingly stripped and refinished. The original architecture of the Butler’s Pantry has been saved and now doubles as the laundry room with a stackable Samsung washer and dryer.The one bedroom offers a large cedar lined walk in closet, and is furnished in Mission and Crofter style which reflects the warm glow from the quoizel lighting.The full bathroom has been completely modernized yet still reflects the period… with its pedestal sink and stained glass window in the shower wall.New ceramic tile and unique lighting create a beautiful room.The large open kitchen and living area boasts handcrafted mission oak cabinets, stained glass window lights, ultra modern appliances and specialty plumbing fixtures. The Saratoga North Creek rail road depot is located approximately 2 minutes from the town house. Service to Saratoga train station offers connections with Amtrak.
