Your journey starts at the Waterford Historical Museum and Cultural Center and our permanent exhibit: Born of Two Rivers: An Illustrated History of Waterford, New York. Conduct research in the George and Annabel OâConnor Library for Local History and enjoy our temporary exhibitions featuring local history and local artists. The Waterford Historical Museum and Cultural Center is located in the 1830 Hugh White Homestead. Located at 2 Museum Lane, just off Saratoga Avenue (Route 32) in the town of Waterford, the Museum overlooks the Mohawk River and the old Champlain Canal and is also situated at the end of the Champlain Canal tow-path walking trail. www.waterfordmuseum.com Season and Hours Open

Walk the old Champlain Canal towpath, starting at Lock 4 right in front of the Museum. Travel into the Village of Waterford and visit the waterfront and the Waterford Flight, a set of 5 locks on the barge canal. The Museum is also located in the Saratoga Avenue National Historic District, which includes numerous Victorian mansions.
