Skene Manor

Skene Manor is a delightful trip back in time, with gorgeous views, a Victorian Tea Room, free tours, a gift shop and beautiful grounds. Skene Manor is an historically elegant, gothic style Victorian castle located at 8 Potter’sTerrace in Whitehall, NY. It was built on Skene Mountain by Supreme Court Judge Joseph H. Potter in 1874, using the finest materials and grey sandstone quarried from the site. Skene Manor was a private residence until 1946 when it was converted into a restaurant. In 1995 Whitehall Skene Manor Preservation, Inc. purchased the the building, dedicating all their efforts into restoring and preserving this magnificent part of Whitehall’s history. Skene Manor was placed on the National Registry for Historic Building in 1959. Season and Hours Open
Skene Manor is open mid April through December and closed January through mid April every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12-4pm.
