1812 Homestead & Farm Museum
The 1812 Homestead is a museum, educational foundation, and a living history farm which occupies 130 acres of land near Long Pond at the site of what was a 19th century inn and pioneer homestead. The Homestead offers hands-on experience for students, individuals, families, and community groups
A full range of pioneer living skills are demonstrated by our knowledgeable instructors. Visitors become involved in hands-on learning activities such as baking at the hearth, blacksmithing, candle dipping, shingle making, animal care, and gardening. We also have a school house from the 1800’s with live demonstrations. Season and Hours Open
November – February: Open by appointment only. March – October: 9am – 3pm for demonstrations please call ahead large groups by appointment only.

New to the Homestead, General Burgoyne’s Wagon Trail!
Across the road from the Homestead is the newly built wagon trail, in 1777 General Burgoyne and his army troops traveled through the area of Willsboro. Walk the trail to our information boards and learn exciting information about General Burgoyne and his troops!

Additional Notes And Comments
Feel free to stop in and walk around the Homestead, during the summer season you can visit our animals, walk the nature trails, visit the cemetery across the road, or visit our tree house along the nature trails.
The 1812 Homestead is ADA friendly to roam around, however some buildings may not be wheelchair accessible. Tours are given in the March – October hours during open hours from 9 am- 3 pm. Fees are only charged when demonstrations are requested, which should be planned before arrival.
