Hudson Crossing Park
Hudson Crossing – A Bi-County Educational Park project, is centered around the Hudson River and Champlain Canal Lock 5 Island in the Towns of Saratoga and Northumberland. Just one mile north of the Village of Schuylerville, the Park may now be reached by water, on foot via the Old Champlain Canal Towpath, or by auto or bicycle via N.Y.S. Route 4.
When complete, the project will be a heritage necklace of historic sites, markers, monuments, and trails. Focal points include Stark’s Knob Scientific Reservation, the Knox Trail Pocket Park, the Champlain Canal Lock 5 Island, the Dix Bridge, and pedestrian and water trails in Washington County. The centerpiece of Hudson Crossing will be the proposed Environmental Education Center and Great Hall to be sited next to the historic Dix Bridge. What Communities Does This Facility Serve
