Adirondack Architectural Heritage

Adirondack Architectural Heritage (AARCH) is the nonprofit historic preservation organization for New York State’s Adirondack Park. AARCH was formed in 1990 with a mission to promote better public understanding, appreciation, and stewardship of the Adirondacks’ unique and diverse architectural heritage.

AARCH partners with a wide variety of hosts, ranging from private homeowners, to historians, to businesses, to offer a series of tours each year that explore the history, architecture, communities, and people of the Adirondack region.

Tours are largely attended by adults only, but we welcome younger participants as well. Some tours will be more appropriate than others for a young audience.
