Lock C-1

Lock C-1 is located in the Town of Halfmoon, five miles north of the Troy Federal Lock when heading up the Hudson River, and 3 miles north of Lock E-2 and the beginning of the Erie Canal. The Lockmaster can be reached by VHF Radio channel 13 or by phone at (518) 237-8566. Services Offered

May 26 – Sept. 7 – 7:00 am – 10:00 pm

Sept. 8 – Nov. 15 – 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

TOLLS, PASSES & PERMITS

All motorized recreational vessels passing through any lock or lift bridge on the Canal System must purchase either a Seasonal Pass, a Ten-Day Pass or a Two-Day Pass.
