Cooper’s Cave Ale Company is a Brewery in Glens Falls, New York, located on the Warren County Bikeway, just minutes from the Saratoga and Lake George region. Started by the Bethel family in 1999 as a Micro Brew, the Bethels have continued to add and expand their offerings to include a retail shop, an ice cream window and the very popular Brew Pub in 2009.
Ales at Cooper’s Cave – In our opinion the quality of ales is a product of the grains, hops, water and yeast. We use only the finest ingredients available including English floor malted barley. We also believe that ales flourish with minimal intervention. All ales are naturally carbonated and unfiltered to enhance drinking pleasure. As the owners/operators of Cooper’s Cave Ale Company, Ltd., we only make ales we like to drink…and we hope you will like and drink them too. Not interested in an ale? Try one of our our “Hand Crafted Sodas” sold by the growler, the to-go cup, the keg, and in 12 oz. soda bottles!
Cooper’s Cave Ice Cream and Ice Cream Cakes – The Cooper’s Cave Ice Cream window, located on the Warren County Bikeway is a fabulous place to get soft ice cream and your favorite hand crafted hard ice cream treats. Cooper’s Cave has more than one hundred flavor combinations in hard and soft-serve ice cream. If you can imagine a soft-serve flavor, we probably have it. Cooper’s Cave Ice Cream Cakes and Pies are the perfect treat any time, you don’t need an occasion. But if you want a custom-made cake or pie for a birthday, anniversary or other celebration, you can order at the Cave any time, or place an order online. Ice Cream Window open daily year round. Ice cream cakes and quarts are available year round through our retail shop.
The Pub at Cooper’s Cave – The Pub features a full menu for the whole family. Begin with our wonderful soups and cave starters, chose from certified angus burgers, sandwiches, salads, wraps and entrees. Of course enjoy our ales on tap and our gourmet sodas. Sit inside or enjoy your meal on our new covered, heated, four season deck overlooking the Bikeway. Our small private room is perfect for special occasions, parties and corporate private functions. What Is Distinctive And Authentic To The Character Of The Region
In 1825 noted author, James Fenimore Cooper began to write his most famous and beloved novel, THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS. Cooper had just returned home after a visit that took him through Glens Falls and the surrounding area which is steeped in the history of the French and Indian War when his novel takes place. Cooper discovered a cave along the Hudson River between today’s City of Glens Falls and the Village of South Glens Falls which he wrote about in his famous novel. That cave has since been known as Cooper’s Cave. Our own interest in the history of the French and Indian War led us to brand that name for our business. Our bottle labels and several ale names are reminiscent of the period. Pictures in The Pub give you a glimpse of the military history of this area where America was born.
