Physicists and scientists have studied the structure and sound patterns of the Music Hall. Everyone agrees that the hall is a masterpiece. The New York Times declares it “one of the acoustic marvels of the world.”

Built in 1875 by George Post, “the father of the tall building,” the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall was a gift to the Troy community by the Troy Savings Bank. Modeled after the Paris Opera House with a main-floor, box seats and two galleries in the Italian Renaissance style, the Music Hall creates an atmosphere of intimacy between the performer and the audience.
