The Saratoga Spa State Park Gold Course

Not only do you have access to an 18-hole championship and par 29 executive course, but you also have the opportunity to explore the historic architecture and attractions of the park. The highly-manicured greens of the Championship Course are guarded by large sand traps, fairway bunkers and mature conifers. From the blue tees the course plays over 7000 yards and has 3 water hazards. The championship course was also home to the 1999 East Region Club Professional Championship.

Don’t Miss This When Visiting
Don’t forget to check out the other recreational activities and amenities of the Saratoga Spa State Park after you are finished golfing: take a swim in the beautiful Victoria Pool, go for a hike along our 12 miles of tree lined trails, or have a bite to eat at Catherine’s in the Park Restaurant.

Also, visit the natural springs which have been a popular retreat since Indians used the ‘sacred’ water for healing practices in the 15th century.

Check out the park’s beautiful architecture, which were built through President Roosevelt’s programs to provide work for the large number of unemployed in the United States because of the Depression. Implementation of the architectural plans at the Saratoga Reservation was accomplished under funding from a federal government loan program, which was the precursor to the Work Projects Administration. Many of the buildings at the park were the first to be completed under the loan program and were dedicated to President Roosevelt in 1935.

All of the buildings in the upper park, the original Saratoga Reservation, are listed on the National Historic Register and the area is designated as a National Landmark by the National Park Service.
