Willsboro Point

Willsboro Point has long been a productive farming area. It is also the site of three quarries: Frisbie Quarry, Clark Quarry, and a small one used briefly for road stone–as well as shipyards at the two larger quarries. There was also a substantial industrial settlement clustered around the Clark Quarry on Ligonier Point. The limestone from this quarry was used in the construction of both the state capitol in Albany and the Brooklyn Bridge. Related Sites Or Experiences
