Bulwagga Bay Beach and Campground, Port Henery and Bulwagga Bay RV Park

Bulwagga Bay Beach and Campground on Bulwagga Drive, one of two popular longstanding public beach/campground establishments on the Port Henry waterfront. It has operated since the 1930s. The other is Bulwagga Bay RV Park and Campground.

Cool fact and historical note: Tailings from nearby iron mines were used to add to the waterfront shoreline in this area, serving as fill for the Bulwagga Drive right-of-way, the beach, and campground.

If driving south on Route 9N-22/Main Street in Port Henry, Bulwagga Drive intersects with Route 9N-22/Main Street just before the big sign that lists sightings of “Champ,” the Lake Champlain monster. If driving north, Bulwagga Drive is the next right after the “Champ” sightings sign. If going south, Bulwagga Drive is just before the “Champ” sightings sign.
