A Kayaker’s Guide to Lake Champlain: Exploring the New York, Vermont, and Quebec Shores by Catherine Frank and Margaret Holden (Black Dome Press, 2009). This book is a great resource for learning about the many opportunities for touring all of Lake Champlain by paddle craft.
A Paddlerâs Guide to the Champlain Valley:Exploring the Rivers, Creeks, Wetlands and Ponds by Margaret Holden and Catherine Frank (Black Dome Press, 2016). The book covers 42 paddles on Lake Champlain’s rivers, wetlands, and wildlife refuges, discussing not only the logistics of each trip, but also the ecology, geology, history, and plants & wildlife of the region.
